On Tuesday, September 26th, we hosted our first Coffee Morning of the year, a meaningful gathering, where parents can openly share their thoughts and feelings.
The theme was “Parents: How to React After a Traumatic Event,” which was particularly relevant given the recent earthquake that has affected our community. It was heartwarming to see our parents share their experiences, concerns, and questions about dealing with the aftermath of this traumatic event.
We were privileged to have Ms. Asmaa Belh, a highly qualified coach and psychologist. Her expertise and guidance were invaluable, and we want to express our sincere gratitude to her for dedicating her time to support our school community. The discussion covered various aspects of coping with trauma, including strategies for dealing with your own traumatic experiences, helping your children navigate their emotions and managing anxiety and stress.
We look forward to our next Coffee Morning to continue providing opportunities for meaningful discussions and support.
